Abstract

Aggressive behavior in the Internet space is becoming more and more common among teenagers in Kazakhstan and abroad. Currently, cyberbullying is a widespread problem. Teenagers at school are the most susceptible to this form of psychological violence. With the development of information technologies and other means of communication, bullying of teenagers is moving from real life to the Internet. A brief description of the main features of this problem is given, the main causes of cyberbullying are analyzed. The article is devoted to the review of foreign studies of cyberbullying — bullying with the help of modern technologies and the Internet — among teenagers and young people. Particular attention is paid to the lack of effective means of protection against cyberbullying in the legislation of Kazakhstan. The authors of the study conclude that the insignificant amount of punishment and the absence of a criminal record in these categories of cases give rise to a sense of permissiveness and impunity among citizens, which led to an increase in cyberbullying. The article proposes to introduce the practice of meditation to effectively combat bullying. The issues of the need for further study of the problem and the development of preventive measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and development of bullying among students are revealed. This study makes it possible to develop measures for the suppression and prevention of cyberbullying. The necessity of studying cyberbullying by the efforts of teachers, psychologists, sociologists, and lawyers is substantiated.
